Out my front door...

On a day like today I would like to be at Arlington to enjoy the serenity of the place. There will not be too many days like this -- this year. So far in 2005 we have been swimming each month since (and including) April. October is certainly going to happen -- but we will have to wait and see about November. Last year we did!
Lloyd Colborne ... encourager

At September Days, a time when seniors get together at Arlington Beach, I had opportunity to visit with my friend, Lloyd Colborne. As we chatted together, he told me again of some of the experiences of his life. Experiences of war, experiences that led him down an alcoholic path, experiences of recovery and especially, experiences of how God had been tugging at his heart over the years -- until finally he moved into a faith relationship with the Lord Jesus.
Today, Lloyd continues to be an encourager. He is encouraged by improved health in recent months, but he uses his new strength to pray for and encourage others.
Thanks, Lloyd for being an encourager!
There are good things happening...
The lack of posting over the past several months is no indication that good things aren't happening!
In fact, this has been a very productive summer in the life of the church here in Weyburn and especially in the interim processes that are "intentional" in moving us along. Lots of initiatives have happened and processes established and the outcomes are clearly God's plans for us.
One of the current processes is that of the Pastoral Leadership Task Force or "Search Committee." Seven people committed to the task and working together under excellent leadership.
We are calling our people to prayer for the important decisions ahead.
